Avital teaches vocal performance and theatre arts at the Emery/Weiner School and directs Black Box studio theatre productions at St. John's School. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Theatre and Dance: Playwriting and Theatre for Youth concentrations. She has worked as a teaching artist in Austin at Theatre Action Project (Creative Action), The Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble, Congregation Agudas Achim, and ZACH Theatre. While in Exeter, she co-facilitated workshops in Exeter Prison, St. Austell’s pupil referral unit, and schools around Devon county as well. Also a playwright, Avital’s plays have been presented in the University of Texas Cohen New Works Festival, the Alley Theatre's HYPE Roadshow, and Stages Repertory Theatre.
