The Zamir Choral Foundation
Zamir Noded fills the last remaining void in the demographic of the Jewish Choral population. Now young people in their late teens and 20's finally have a place to sing quality Jewish music with a community of like-minded peers. Thank you for providing this venue for them-- and this listening opportunity for us!
-Zamir Noded audience member
The Zamir Choral Foundation is always the first -- and often the only -- artistic voice to express our ongoing connection to Israel. It is an honor to be part of the audience -- as well as a treat to hear such great music.
-Yom Yerushalayim audience member
The Zamir Choral Foundation does a brilliant job of bringing the best in Jewish music alive for performers and audiences alike. With the activities of the Mandell Fund for New Music, they go one step further, and take an active role in creating new pieces, and presenting them so they may become the repertory staples of the future. I'm very grateful to have been given the opportunity to contribute to this great legacy.
-Steve Cohen, Composer
For its 20th anniversary, HaZamir sang in two back-to-back Gala Concerts at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center on Sunday, March 17, 2013. 300 HaZamir singers were joined on stage by 60 HaZamir Alumni voices.
The Zamir Choral Foundation, created by Matthew Lazar, promotes choral music as
a vehicle to inspire Jewish life, culture, and continuity.
