HaZamir Festival

The Annual HaZamir Festival is a weekend event that is the highlight of the year for many HaZamir singers. HaZamir singers representing all HaZamir chapters, along with their conductors, coordinators and parent chaperones attend this event. It is a weekend of intensive practice, bonding, in preparation for the Gala Concert.

This year, the HaZamir Festival will take place on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 and conclude on Sunday March 18th,m2018 with a grand concert at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, NYC.

HaZamirniks, their conductors and chaperones spend their time in rehearsals, social settings and a shared wonderful shabbat together in anticipation of and preparation for Sunday's gala Concert.

The 22nd Annual HaZamir Festival and Gala Concert took place on March 19-22, 2015. The Gala Concert was held at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center at 4pm on Sunday, March 22, 2015.

HaZamir returned to the famed Carnegie Hall for a Gala performance on Sunday April 3rd, 2016. Highlights included the first song ever composed, arranged and sung by a HaZamir Singer, Samuel Dylan Rosner.

An experience lilke no other, 35 HaZamir Chapters sang to the heavens and beyond, on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera House. This once in a lifetime experience was a thrill for our singers, who traveled to this legendary venue from across the country and Israel. The concerts theme "Jerusalem" was evident in the slections of music performed. To close out the evening, our choir, joined by an audience of thousands sang an impromptu Hatikva (Israel's National Anthem), which was probably the first time this song has ever been sung in this performance space.
