My first Festival....I am overwhelmed by feelings of gratitude. You gave me an experience so deeply profound that I can hardly express it. You showed me a world of Jewish choral music I could not have imagined existed.
The Zamir Choral Foundation is always the first -- and often the only -- artistic voice to express our ongoing connection to Israel. It is an honor to be part of the audience -- as well as a treat to hear such great music.
-Yom Yerushalayim audience member
The Zamir Choral Foundation does a brilliant job of bringing the best in Jewish music alive for performers and audiences alike. With the activities of the Mandell Fund for New Music, they go one step further, and take an active role in creating new pieces, and presenting them so they may become the repertory staples of the future. I'm very grateful to have been given the opportunity to contribute to this great legacy.
-Steve Cohen, Composer
The Zamir Choral Foundation, created by Matthew Lazar, promotes choral music as
a vehicle to inspire Jewish life, culture, and continuity.
